The Governor indicates that Arizonans may continue to use Arizona's parks and open spaces in a safe manner. The Governor has included walking, hiking, biking, and golf as essential outdoor activities. The Governor has also issued additional guidelines that provide that amenities at public parks that do not allow for social distancing and cannot be easily sanitized must be closed. These amenities include, but are not limited to, basketball courts, splash pads, playgrounds, and restrooms. The parks themselves, including green spaces, walking paths and trails may remain open for use. While the Governor's guidance does not specifically address semi-public parks in community associations, our firm advises that Associations follow the guidelines for public parks and close all playgrounds, fitness and athletic equipment, and other facilities.
